<div class='uawarticle'>He told me this. "You're working hard and you're working smart in theory because you are out here practicing, but you are not working right. Your elbow is out on every shot and you are shooting curve balls. I'm watching every shot curve. If you just correct your action by moving your elbow in and you work right and do the correct procedure, I'll bet you you will start making them."<br />

He was completely right. I began busting them, one after another. And you know what? I became among the top shooters from the three-point line my senior year, and I was recruited by major colleges all over the country.<br />
<br />
Practice is very important. If you want to excel at something, you should do it. But you can't just practice and think that is all it will take to succeed. It's about practicing right. It is about correct action. You've got to remind yourself to do the correct actions, then the correct actions is going to create the correct habits, and the correct habits create the correct outcomes. Businessman and philanthropist W. Clement Stone coined a great saying that I love: "Little hinges swing big doors." All I had to do was move my elbow in a couple of inches, and my whole game changed forever. It doesn't take a lot to see a positive effect happen for you.<br />

3. Always Do Your Best. You have got to say to yourself over and over (and over) again that you'll always-always-do your best. You do not have to be the best; I just want you to do your best. When you do the best you know you could do, you start to genuinely appreciate yourself. If you put in the effort, if you put in the time, and if you know that you did absolutely the best that you could, that's all anybody could ever demand of you.<br />
<br />
So do the best you can. That is all you can demand of yourself.<br />
<br />
STEP FOUR Do Something!<br />

You found your red-hot 'why.' You got rid of the excuses and you're focused on the solutions. You created an effective strategy for yourself and you're following the strategy step-by-step. So what's next? You've got to do something. That's right-you have to take action. It goes back to what I learned from Jim Rohn. "You can't hire other people to do your pushups for you." You've got to go out and do it yourself.<br />
<br />
If you've found a purpose, gotten rid of excuses, and made a strategy, all you've really done so far is entertained yourself. You've invented a nice fairytale. You've just come up with a cool idea in your head. Unless you do something, all that thought and effort means nothing.<br />
<br />
Top copywriter Gary Halbert said a great quote a long time ago that I use in all of my talks. He said, "You always accomplish more through movement than through meditation."<br />
<br />
It makes sense right? You have got to visualize and you think positively, but the bottom line is you should do something. You need to move. You cannot just wish that it will happen. You cannot just hope that it'll happen. You cannot get in shape unless you go to the fitness center. You cannot get healthier unless you acquire better food at the supermarket. You cannot raise your income without doing something different.<br />
<br />
You have got to take action.<br />

One of the reasons why people don't take action is because of an evil word that creeps into our minds called fear. We allow fear to paralyze us from moving forward. I want to bust you through the fear right now.<br />
