With the internet flooded with thousands of sites, it can be a task to hunt for a job through these sites. Unless you have some technical know how, finding a job through a job site can be just futile.<br />

There are job sites that advertise for non-existent jobs yet they almost look real. The aim of such job sites is to scam you or misguide you to wrong sites. These are fake sites set up to mislead job seekers.<br />

The best way of finding whether a job website is genuine, is by use of online reviews. Just search the key-word of the jobsite you are interested in with the key-word review and try to check how that particular site has been reviewed by other review websites. That way you will be on your first step to finding a job. <br />

Getting a genuine job website online is not the only thing you need to consider when looking for a job through a job site. The location target of a job website is much important. It is best to consider the origin country, region or state of that job website.<br />

To save you time of applying to jobs that will never get back to you. Be sure that your job location requirements meet those of the job website. Start by applying for jobs nearest you.<br />

A jobsite specific to a particular industry is good for a job seeker in that industry. It is best to evaluate your job industry and look for a job website that will suit your industry. If the websites you could be looking at is categorized as an engineering job website, look for a job there if you belong to the engineering field.<br />

Post your resume online to jobsites that give a platform for you to upload your resume. This can broaden your chances of getting a job online as you may not be available online always. Employers who might be looking for candidates on such job sites might stumble upon your resume and decide to invite you for an interview. Although not all sites give a chance for one to post their resume, you need to check on those that give room for you to post your resume.<br />

Every job post has some rules and requirements. For you to be successful in your job searching process, it is best advised to stick to the rules. A particular site may state that all candidates should submit their resume and cover letters only. It might as well state that the cover letter should be sent in the body of the email and not as an attachment. Do exactly that. If you are advised on a job website not to follow up on a job application, do not try to follow up as that might be just futile or even ruin your chances of ever getting that job.<br />
