When you have seen that there is one or more broken boards or have holes in them, change them with a different one. Get a different board prior to removing the previous one so the gap from removing it will not be there for so long. When you get a different board, check if it is identical to the previous board. If there is none available, have it painted to make them look identical.

When you got the new boards, remove the broken ones using the screw or a hammer. Check if the newer boards have similar length to the other one. After that, nail the newer board. Start nailing it from the top and then to the bottom so that you may adjust it easily.

If you need to mend one of its posts, verify first if they are loose. You can mend it simply by screwing them tightly. Inspect the posts to see if they became rotten. Inspect it by digging the soil at its foot and poking the buried parts of a post. If it is not hard, you should consider replacing it.

Purchase all the materials you need before you remove the post. Next is to remove the post using a crow bar or just cut the nails using a saw. Dig the soil at its base and then remove it from the ground. Once it is out, place a post which is identical on its size. Nail it back so that it will be attached.

If some of its frame sagged, making repairs to it is not simple. A person must have enough knowledge on how to do that. For the gate frames, check if there are any loose hinges. If there is one, replace it with a heavier hinge. If one of its screws does not fit, remove that screw and replace that with a longer screw.

Check its frames. Check if one of it is leaning or is damaged. If there is a leaning frame, use a turnbuckle and some steel wires to reinforce it. Run the wires diagonally starting from the top and then to the bottom. Tighten the wires until the frame which is leaning becomes reinforced.

We must always have our fences maintained or fixed immediately. We should check if it is still in its good condition. A well kept fence is essential to ones home. It assures you that there is security and privacy in your house.
