Water shortage is the lack of fresh water resource in order to meet the demand of people. The groundwater is depleting because of manmade structure which are causing the trees to cut down. This affects the weather causing irregular pattern of seasons. There is less rainfall so the rivers and lakes remain dry. This causes drought.<br />

The safety of water is the topmost priority for our family. We may get it from fresh water source, however water should be checked before consumption. There are lots of bacteria in water. This does not affect the animals as they have a higher immunity power.<br />

Protecting our family from water born diseases should be our main focus. The resource from fresh water source is not pure hence it should be purified before consumption. Also we should periodic maintenance of the pipelines otherwise the sewer water will mix with fresh one if there is damage.<br />
