<div class='uawarticle'>When you are a beginner to Internet marketing, the field can appear so intimidating, particularly if you don't have any knowledge of the field. You've likely already skimmed over many articles and forum posts that are filled with information on how to be the next "big thing". The items on these lists likely all appear to be contradictory.<br />

One will say that you need to be patient if you wish <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/helpwithleads">Lead Generation</a> to be the next big thing. Another is going to say that you need to have a great deal of business savvy. Still, another will tell you that creative thinking is what will make you a success. And don't forget about all of the pages telling you that the software package they are offering is what will help you become successful in IM.<br />

The truth is that all of these things are important to your success (well, possibly not all of those software programs, but the other stuff). You do need to have patience, business savvy and creativity if you desire to succeed. None of these things count much, however, if you are not able to communicate well with your target audience.<br />

There is more to good communication than creating a convincing sales page. A seasoned copywriter can handle that component of your project. A beautiful site and extensive FAQ are not what you need for good communication. An experienced web site designer and writer can give you those. If you want to be a good communicator, you should acquire interpersonal communication skills, not merely direct copywriting. So what are you supposed to do to be a good communicator?<br />

1. Make sure an e-mail doesn't sit unreplied to for more than 24 hours. This is not a joke. You don't have to write a long answer for every mail. All you have to do is pen a brief message that says something like "I received your e-mail and will be sending you a full response soon." When you do this, try to include a reference to the original e-mail. This helps the person you email tell your mail apart from the autoresponders that other IMers use.<br />

2. Don't let the telephone go on ringing. Don't screen calls. Whenever your telephone starts ringing, answer it by the third ring. Do this even if you earnestly have no wish to talk to the person on the other end. The good news is that there is, nevertheless, an exemption to this rule. You don't have to be attached to the telephone 24/7. Instead, simply set definite "business" hours during which you are available talk on the phone. These hours should be displayed prominently on your website and mentioned in your voice mail message also. And, of course, each person who leaves a message deserves a return call.<br />

3. Ensure that the people you send messages and emails to really receive those messages and emails. This demonstrates to them that you value your communication with them. It will endear you more if you say something like, "Is there anything that I can be more detailed about?" so that, if they have questions, you can answer them.<br />
