It is impossible for a human being to have a sense of coordination without his brain. The capacity of the brain is something that scientists have been unable to determine even till today. This important body organ is responsible for a person's ability to read, write, memorize and maintain balance. These important functions can be improved by taking brain builders. Brain building foods are highly recommended for people with low retentive memory.

Eggs are equally used as memory building foods. They are rich in protein and the yolk contains choline, which aids in improving memory. Eggs can be consumed in several ways; you can take it as Scotch egg, egg rolls, in ice cream or as fried eggs with bread for breakfast. It is also possible to have them in salads or mixed with tomato sauce for eating spaghetti. Since your kids would need this to enhance their performance in school, including it in their lunch pack should be a preferred option to supplying them some cookies.

Since the organ needs a lot of energy to function, it is important to feed constantly on whole grains. Whole grains contain a good amount of glucose and the B-vitamins which supplies the immune system with its needs. You can take whole grains in their natural form or obtain the nutrients from low-fat pop corn or make them into tortillas and chips to increase variety.

Beans cannot be left out as an excellent brain building food. It is rich in proteins, energy, fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. Apart from eating it in the natural form, you may also desire to spray it on your tortilla or with your vegetable source.

People who take avocados can also increase the capacity of their brains. The fruit is a creamy substance that can be spread on bread and enjoyed as butter or fried egg. Avocados have a plenty supply of Vitamin E, an important element for preventing Alzheimers disease. This means that to avoid dementia (a common type of the disease), a diet of avocados once or twice per week is a good idea.

There are other sources of Vitamin E that one take to prevent dementia. These foods include sun flower seeds, cooked spinach, nuts, shrimps, olive oil and a host of other plant oils. Cooked spinach gives more supply of Vitamin E than the raw one. By taking cooked spinach, you can have more than three times the quantity of vitamin E obtainable in the raw form. Two cups of raw spinach is enough for the body's daily requirement of vitamin E.

Tomatoes are also important for increasing intelligence. Tomatoes contain lycopene, a good antioxidant for preventing the growth of cells that can cause dementia. It is better to take it cooked and you can either fry it with an egg or make it into a sauce for rice.

Pumpkin seeds are also important for brain building. They are rich in zinc, more than any other seed you can think of. Other nutrients in pumpkin seeds that make them suitable for this work include magnesium, Vitamin B and tryptophan.
